In the meantime, we are offering individual companies the opportunity to register their interest to speak at TotalDECOM 2019 flagship event.
Our goal is to curate outstanding content, with a broad and diverse approach to all aspects of decommissioning, in an effort to provide conference delegates with a wider and informative insight and the opportunity to expand his or her 'total' decom knowledge. Emma-Jayne comes from running her own nuclear supply chain business, so understands the challenges faced by the supply chain working in, or wanting to enter into the nuclear industry. Alongside running her business, she also sat on the board of Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster, a private sector led organisation, with members from SMEs to global companies with business interests in West Cumbria, where she was involved for seven years prior to taking her role with Sellafield.
Emma-Jayne is responsible for ensuring a sustainable supply chain to deliver the Sellafield mission now and for the future.

Department of International Trade – What we do to support UK Exports
Working within International markets, Government, Ministries, Nuclear regulators, Utilities and International vendors to establish strategic plans to enable Export wins in the Nuclear Estate Internationally and to lever off inward investment as an enabler to penetrate international markets. Chair for Japan, German & Sweden Campaign working group for Nuclear Decommissioning. Previously employed as a Nuclear Director who worked with clients to monitor their existing business practices, identify weaknesses and recommend options and solutions for them. Regularly traveling to different locations in the UK & Globally to assist public sector organisations, multinationals or private companies. 25 years’ experience of the nuclear industry in trade associated roles including International trade, Business Development, Program Management, Project Management, Engineering and Supply Chain gap analysis for Nuclear projects across the Nuclear fuel cycle.

Presentation Title
Sustainable Decommissioning – What, Why, How?Kristina Gillin joined Lloyd’s Register in 2017 as a Principal Consultant, with a focus on nuclear decommissioning and waste management. Her career in the nuclear industry started in 1991 at the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Co (SKB), where she worked until 2000 – both in engineering (spent fuel encapsulation) and communications (site selection of a spent fuel repository). During the years that followed, she worked in communications and sustainable development within non-nuclear fields.
In 2009, Kristina returned to nuclear as a consultant – first at SKB International and then at Kinectrics in Toronto, Canada, where she managed a wide range of projects related to nuclear decommissioning, waste management, safety and licensing for both Canadian and international clients.
Kristina has a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and an interdisciplinary Master in Natural Resource Management, Governance and Globalization from the Stockholm Resilience Centre. She is Chair of the Canadian Standards Association’s technical committee for radioactive waste management (N292) and member of its subcommittee for long-term management of radioactive waste and irradiated fuel (N292.6).
